BREAKING DAWN: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Bill Condon Down Paraty Way?

Photobucket

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson in David Slade's The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (top); island off of Paraty (bottom, Paraty.com.br) — does one of those islets look like Isle Esme to you?
In-between pro-Workers Party political chat on Twitter — general elections were held in Brazil on Sunday — RioFilme's president Sérgio Sá Leitão tweeted that there's "no news regarding Breaking Dawn," which still may or may not be partly filmed in the city of Rio de Janeiro and/or surrounding areas.
To be directed by Bill Condon, who showed up at the Rio Film Festival last week, and starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, the suspense about filming (or not) Edward and Bella's honeymoon in Brazil has been going on for a number of weeks.
According to Leitão, Condon is "eager to film here." But ultimately, of course, it's all up to the powers-that-be at Summit Entertainment.
The latest location mentioned as a possibility for Isle Esme — where Bella discovers she's pregnant and a spooked-out half-Indian Amazonian comes up with tales of death and libishomem — is the small colonial town of Paraty [pronounced Pah-rah-CHEE], located 240 kilometers from Rio, along what some refer to as the Brazilian Riviera.
How exactly Paraty would fit with Stephenie Meyer's story is unclear, as Island Esme is supposed to be just that: a tiny tropical islet on which was built a good-sized home. But then again, there are tropical islets all over the Rio State coast, so that may be what's being discussed here.
As quoted on Terra.com, Leitão affirmed that "first of all, we need to know how much the production will spend in the city of Rio de Janeiro because then I'll know how much I'd bring to the city for each real [that's the Brazilian currency] we invest on the film. The ratio must be worthwhile. Second, I figure out how many jobs will be created. And third, we have to take a look at a draft of the screenplay, for we're not going to invest, for instance, on a movie such as Tourists (a 2006 production that showed Brazilians as cruel murderers of innocent Americans)."
Leitão added that "we need not only financial returns, but also promotional returns for the city," going on to explain that Rio would be like a product to be sold, as movies shot there would offer "product placements" of the city by way of "postcards shots."
Once again, how that would fit with Meyer's Breaking Dawn is unclear, unless screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg expands Edward and Bella's passage through Rio on their way to Isle Esme, which lasts all of a paragraph or two in the book.

Kimbra Hickey wants a role in Breaking Dawn

Photobucket

Kimbra Hickey
is the very first thing new Twilight fans see when they start reading Stephenie Meyer’s book series.
Well, at least parts of Kimbra Hickey.
Her hands are the ones holding a red apple on the mega-bestseller’s famous cover.
“It was major exposure for my hands. But nobody knew who I was,” she tells the New York Post.
“I see people reading it on the subway, and I say, ‘Those are my hands! I’m a hand model!’”
“I’m sure they think I’m crazy — a crazy lady on the subway.”
Now the New Yorker occasionally offers autographs near her local bookstore’s cash register when someone picks up a copy of the book. She also attends fan conventions, where she markets hand lotion — apple-scented, of course.
She’s expressed interest in being cast in theBreaking Dawn movie, “even if they only wanted my hands in it.”

Maggie Grace Talks About Changes To Pay Irina In Breaking Dawn

PhotobucketWe were pumped when we heard that the versatile Maggie Grace had been cast in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. (You might remember Grace from Lost, or Taken, or The Jane Austen Book Club.) The actress will play Irina Denali, a vampire with an axe to grind with Edward and Bella. We recently had a chat with Grace about her cooking experiments and trip-packing skills. Pick up the October issue for that--and in the meantime, check out what she had to say about hair makeovers, something that could come into play for Breaking Dawn, since Irina is said to have silvery-blond bob.
What is it like to dramatically change your hair for a role and look at a stranger in the mirror for weeks? It takes a long time to get used to. And then of course you have the inevitable votes—the boyfriend, the mother, the friends—everyone has strong feelings. But I love the change.
Have you ever had a really great movie makeover and thought, "I should keep this haircut or color?" I had this auburn wavy Saxon princess hair in a play once and I've never forgotten it.
Do you try to talk directors in to styling your chracters like that? Oh always! Invariably, that's part of my take on a character, "You know what? I really feel like she would have red hair." It reminds me of Anne of Green Gables.
Christina Hendricks started dying her hair red when she was ten years old because she was obsessed with Anne of Green Gables. Oh my goodness! [Laughs] I was that obsessed too. If my mom would have gone for me dying my hair at 10, I would have joined Christina Hendricks in being a redhead.

Robert Pattinson and Crew Can Welcome Maggie Grace and Mackenzie Foy on the Twilight Train

Photobucket
One will play a vengeful vampire, the other will portray a kid who's betrothed to a werewolf. Maggie Grace and Mackenzie Foy are on board for the Twilight Saga's final chapter, People reports.
Grace will be familiar to Lost fanboys and girls; the 27-year-old played Shannon Rutherford during the sci-fi series' early seasons. She's scored the role of Irina in the upcoming Breaking Dawn — an embittered (but sexy!) vamp who sicks the Volturi on newlyweds Edward and Bella and their daughter, Renesmee.
As for Renesmee, she'll be played by nine-year-old newcomer Mackenzie Foy
Lucky for Foy, she'll get to sit out the birth scene.
As in the vampiric C-section birth scene that Twilight actor Kellan Lutz (who plays Emmett Cullen) has dropped a few details about to E! News.
"I think they should show it and have Emmett in the background laughing," Lutz joked to E!. But seriously guys, director Bill Condon has found a way to make a birthing scene involving spine-snapping and amniotic sac chewing tasteful.
"I love the way that they're showing it," Lutz told E!. "I really thought that was going to be really a tough thing to show."
Breaking Dawn will be split into two films, and though production on the project begins in November, People reports that Condon and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg were working on rewrites earlier this month.
Rosenberg also told E! about what's in store for the scene where Edward Cullen helps deliver a baby (with his teeth). "I don't think it's about the amount of blood you show," she said. "It's about the intensity of it. It's on their faces.
"It's all from Bella's point of view when you're seeing what's going. It should feel visceral. I think it's going to be pretty intense."

Mackenzie Foy To Play Renesmee In Breaking Dawn?

PhotobucketPhotobucket

It’s a big day for Twihards. First Maggie Grace signs on to play Irina. Now EW.com has learned that little 9-year old Mackenzie Foy is inches away from signing on to play Renesmee, Edward and Bella’s vampire/human love child that’s a central role in the final installment of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.
It’s not yet clear how the diminutive actress, who’s appeared in one episode each of television shows FlashForward and ‘Til Death, will portray the character who ages a full 17 years in only seven. Sources have suggested that director Bill Condon will employ similar digital effects to those used by David Fincher in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, where Foy’s face would be digitally transferred onto the face of a younger child. It’s also probable that the studio will hire a younger child in some capacity, too.
Summit Entertainment is remaining mum on the issue. But to see Foy’s angelic face, which could very well be the offspring of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, check out her website.

Maggie Grace Cast In "Breaking Dawn"

Photobucket
Maggie Grace will play a new vampire threat to Kristin Stewart’s Bella in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Grace, who played Liam Neeson’s in-distress daughter in Taken, will play the role of Irina in the final installments of the Stephenie Meyer novel, which director Bill Condon is directing in two separate films.
Irina is a member of the Denali coven, considered cousins to the Cullen clan as the only other “vegetarian” vampire group. When Irina blames the Cullens for the death of her lover, her actions set in motion a terrifying chain of events. The first of two pictures will be released by Summit Entertainment on November 18, 2011, followed by the finale on November 16, 2012. Melissa Rosenberg is writing both scripts, and Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt and Meyer are producing. Grace just completed the Dwayne Johnson-starrer Faster for CBS Pictures and re-teamed with Taken producer Luc Besson in Lockout, the outer space saga that stars Guy Pearce as a wrongly convicted man offered his freedom if he can rescue the president’s daughter (Grace) from an outer space prison taken over by violent inmates. Grace is also waiting to reprise in Taken 2. She is repped by UTA and Global Creative.

Nikki Reed Talks about Rob and Kristen In Breaking Dawn!

Photobucket
Things are about to get hot for this real-life couple in more ways than one…co-star Nikki Reed confirms they’re going to shoot their Breaking Dawn honeymoon scene in South America!

How’s this for muy caliente? There’s been speculation that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson would do ‘the deed’ for the first time everywhere from Vancouver to Louisiana to Brazil — and their Twilight co-star, Nikki Reed, has confirmed the exact location of said deflowering!

“They are filming a few days [in South America], but I’m not there,” the 22-year-old actress confirmed to HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the LA premiere of her new film, Last Day of Summer, Sept. 22. “It’s Bella and Edward’s honeymoon.”

It appears that producers are keeping the big screen version of Breaking Dawn pretty faithful to Stephenie Meyer’s book: the fictional honeymoon spot is an island called “Isle Esme”, just off the coast of Brazil.

We hope Bella and Edward’s REAL honeymoon is just as epic as it is in the book, as well. If it IS, you’re going to see a lot of nudity, skinny-dipping and R-Patz biting the hell out of a pillow because he can’t control himself. How’s that for hot?
