Anna Kendrick in Life Magazine’s Oscar Hopefuls Portraits

Anna is featured in Life’s series of portraits of Oscar hopefuls for 2010. Nominations haven’t been announced, but there’s a good chance Anna will get nominated for her role in Up in the Air.

A revelation as a motormouthed high-school debater in the little-seen Rocket Science and fine as Bella’s best friend in Twilight, Kendrick comes fully into her own onscreen as corporate stooge Natalie Keener. She’s every aging worker’s nightmare: a prim, young, impersonal innovator happy to please her bosses by making hordes of workers redundant.  En uppenbarelse som motormouthed high-school debattör i den föga sett Rocket Science och fin som Bellas bästa vän i Twilight, kommer Kendrick helt i sin egen roll som bolagsjuristen/ nickedockan Natalie Keener. Hon är varje åldrande arbetsgivares mardröm: en Prim, ung, opersonlig innovatör glad att behaga hennes chefer genom horder av övertaliga arbetstagare. Men istället för att spela Natalie som harpy gör Kendrick henne sårbar. Hon borde inte vara arbetslös som skådespelerska någon gång snart. (: Bästa kvinnliga biroll)
